Organizers of exhibitions and fairs

Organizers of exhibitions and fairs

The organizers of exhibitions and fairs can be

  • Central and local bodies of executive power that ensure the preparation and holding of exhibitions and fairs on the basis of the relevant decision with partial financing of expenses from the state or local budget;
  • Business entities of all forms of ownership, whose main activities are related to the organization and holding of exhibitions and fairs.

Thus, the form of ownership of enterprises-organizers can be any, the main thing is that the exhibition activity is stipulated by their statutes.

The manager of exhibitions and fairs is a business entity which carries out their preparation and holding on the basis of an agreement concluded with the organizer of exhibitions and fairs, can attract on a contractual basis other business entities to the performance of works, provision of services, purchase of goods necessary for the organization and holding of exhibitions and fairs.

The manager of exhibitions and fairs shall be a business entity providing services for their organization (design, construction, decoration of exhibitions and fairs) on the basis of a contract concluded with the organizer or manager of exhibitions and fairs.

An agent is a business entity which undertakes obligations to attract participants based on an agreement signed with the organizer or manager of exhibitions and fairs.

A participant of exhibitions and fairs is a business entity which has signed a contract with the organizer or manager to participate in them.

All exhibition organizers can be divided into those having material and technical basis (special exhibition areas, exhibition equipment, service conditions), the so-called exhibition centers, and those having no such basis.

Accordingly, exhibition centers must have staff to maintain such facilities, and other organizers (not exhibition centers) rent exhibition space and equipment, including from the exhibition centers. Under the contract of contract or contract of mandate, they can hire third-party organizations to perform both the entire set of works on the installation of equipment (stands), and its individual parts.

The product of the organizer is an exhibition or fair as a complex of services provided simultaneously to all consumers (exhibitors, visitors). With the same set of services provided by the organizers, but with different themes, organizational and technical measures taken at different stages of the exhibition (preparation, holding, closing), it (the exhibition or fair) will have its own cost price.

That is, each exhibition is a unique, one-of-a-kind product. Therefore, preparation for each next exhibition requires development of separate organizational, technical and financial plans.
