The Schanghai Eco Design Fair is organized by eco-activists and designers. More than 120 volunteers work at the fair every day. In addition to the traditional market, there are displays of clothing made from natural materials, lectures on recycling, and cooking classes. Specially invited artists create installations, and visitors collectively assemble a sculpture from recycled materials, which becomes a symbol of the event.
